In the fall of 2023, Weequahic Park Sports Authority recruited and provided stipends to the youth from Weequahic High School to help plant tulips in Weequahic Park to beautify the park's entrances. This collaboration included the assistance of the NJ Attorney General's Office of Community-Based Violence Intervention, Essex County Parks.
